Friends of Virginia Garcia

We invite you to become a member of the Friends of Virginia Garcia. With your donation of $1,000 or more annually, you will receive special benefits including:

• Annual reception: Hosted by the Virginia Garcia Memorial Foundation, this event is exclusively for members of Friends of Virginia Garcia. Members will have the opportunity to meet with other donors, Health Center staff and board members, and receive a personal report of the previous year’s activities and the vision going forward.

• Updates: All members will receive information from the Foundation Board of Directors, updating you on the successes and challenges facing Virginia Garcia Foundation and Health Center.

• Special-interest talks and activities: Friends of Virginia Garcia will be invited to events as they arise.

• Behind the scenes tours: Join us on a backroom tour of our high quality medical and dental clinics to see the vast array of services we provide to our patients - thanks in part to your generosity; or experience what it's like to live in a migrant farmworkers camp during the summer months.

• Volunteer opportunities: As appropriate, Friends of Virginia Garcia will be invited to take part in volunteer opportunities (either personally or as a corporate group).

• Recognition: Friends of Virginia Garcia will be recognized*
• At our annual reception.

There are many planned giving options, including wills, life insurance policies, retirement plans, charitable trusts, and appreciated property. In-kind Donations

Donations of valuable materials are another way of helping Virginia Garcia achieve its mission. Below are listed some of the current goods and services we would most appreciate receiving:

• Medical equipment – breast pumps and supplies, fetal heart monitor, colposcope, hand-held Dopplers.
• Children’s books + crayons, coloring books, pencils, erasers, etc.
• Hygiene products – “hotel size” soaps and shampoos, feminine products, antiperspirant/deodorant, lotions, and first aid.
• Dental hygiene products – toothbrushes (adult and children), toothpaste and floss.
• Sun/heat protection – hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and water bottles.
• Tri-Met tickets (adult and child).
• Grocery store $5 gift certificates for health/nutrition class awards.
